Our water baby will basically go careening towards any body of water without abandon. This usually results in the guardian closest to him panicking, running and grabbing Owen mid-leap. I exaggerate, but only a little. The Werner clan invited us to their grandma and grandpas pool a few weeks ago and Owen was overjoyed to be allowed in the water. There was only one moment of "ACK!" the whole day, and thankfully we grabbed Owen before he attempted his "walk on water" impersonation.

Juliet was a big hit with old ladies like myself...

And fine young gents like Owen. He was hugging her constantly!

With this many kids in the pool, who needs a water heater? Oh yeah-- I went there with a pee joke.

Sarah and Eric (Werner, not daddy) made these incredible paninis with things like pancetta, goat cheese and apricot preserves. Owen ate a grilled cheddar and relished the goodness. Jut thinking back to those sandwiches makes tonight's dinner seem really bleak.

The resident water child, Jordan was a swimming machine. He won't need the floaty bathing suit by the end of summer.

Madeline enjoyed a sprinkle donut. She got sprinkles up her nose, on her chin and a few in her stomach. It is the simple pleasures like rainbow sprinkles that make childhood so sparkly.

Madeline does a great impression of what she is going to look like in about 4 years when her baby teeth start falling out (2 more years if she develops an addiction to sprinkles).
Owen is far more serious about donuts than the other children. Do not mess with him if a glaze or coconut flake is in the vicinity.

Owen decided to take this opportunity to reenact his first meeting with Madeline 19 months ago. She looks just as amused now as she did then:

He was only 4 weeks and she was only 10 months in this picture. Tear!

He was far more comfortable once shirts became involved.

Things turned back toward being uncomfortable when Jordan joined the chair party.

These three goofballs quickly decided three in a chair equals three having a goooooood time!

There is nothing like a day at the pool with good friends to make for some long-lasting memories....and long-lasting naps.

When we were getting ready to leave the shoulder dances began.
Here is a video of my two dudes getting their groove on. I apologize for the shoddy camera work, I was laughing really hard. Also, apologies for the snapshot taken mid-video, I really dropped the ball on this one.

The sounds Owen was making is exactly what I imagine a Pterodactyl would have sounded like. It also reminds me a little of bit of those mewing cans that you turn upside down and they bleat.
Wow! Owen is amazingly BIG!!! He's such a little guy now. We miss you guys ton. Jenn sees Molly in Owen, I'm still an Ericista
These are such wonderful photos. What beautiful children!
