13th Lake Post 2: Fun, Fun, Fun and a Hammock!

Our vacation to 13th Lake (in July, yes I am THAT behind) was almost entirely fun. Even the not so fun parts ended up being fun in the end.

I won't delve into details lest my father's pride get hurt, but let's just say he backed into a ditch. We all thought this was quite hilarious at the time. "We" did not include my father. These nice tan men came along within 3 minutes and had a tow cable in their car. After 30 minutes of digging, rock placement and grumbling, the car was out.

My mother performed this stellar parking job at a Stewart's parking lot. As you can see, she is in a handicapped spot. I am pretty sure anyone who saw the parking job and the handicapped sticker thought she was spatially disabled....or cognitively.

We just let Owen drive for the rest of the trip.

Owen got to explore far off places at break-neck speeds!

The remainder of laughs we had were rarely at someone else's expense. Owen got a balloon motorcycle hanging from a balloon fishing pole. He was excited about his acquisition, but it was Tante who was thrilled!

Tante invented a game called "Burrito!". Owen was the bean filling and a blanket was the tortilla. After a tight wrapping job, Tante would pull the blanket up causing Owen to tumble and roll across the bed. Sadly, I was too tall to be the beans. It looked like a great time.

We had delightful meals with the family. Owen always made sure to sit next to his beloved Tante.

Owen experienced his first Skee-ball in lake George. It is a Reeder family passion. We all pretty much stink at it. We are hoping Owen one days lives the dream of landing a ball in the 50 point hole.

We made it to Schroon Lake twice on our trip. Owen became airborne on the slide.

Yup, there wasn't one moment of unhappiness during he whole week we were away.......

Until...... The Hammock.

This is a happy post.... let's not dwell on dark subjects like The Hammock.

Maybe he's unhappy in the hammock because he's wearing a skirt disguised as shorts.

We don't ALL stink at skee ball. That being said, this was, once again, a mighty fine vacation.
