Winter's First Snow

FInally, after months of waiting the snow has arrived! While we had a freak snowstorm in October, it has been a mild winter and nary a flake has fallen. Owen was thrilled to try on his "new" boots (hand-me-downs) and get outside to roll around and eat snow. WE got in touch with our wonderful neighbors Naomi, Scott and Soraya to meet up for a snow date. Soraya is 3 years old, like Owen, and they seem to genuinely enjoy each other's company. Seeing as we really like her parents, this works out well for everyone!

We bundled Owen up until just a shimmer of skin showed. He may have been blind, but he was warm.


Eric got right in the spirit of the season and engaged in a rousing snowball fight with Soraya and Owen.



While Soraya was a vision in pink...



Owen was barely visible. How did he not complain about this?



Once he had his sight back, Owen got to work crafting snow angels.



Just 20 minutes in the snow and Owen was utterly exhausted. He fell asleep in 2 minutes flat.
