Loosen a ripe baby from the tree
Gently remove the baby from the branch
Smell the baby. A foul odor means it should be left for the mother. This is a stinky baby-- a new one should be selected.
Pick a fresh baby from the tree.

awww you wrote that blog when I was in the hospital in labor with Gershie. who knew the next day a new baby would be picked from the tree and they would get to hang out and share cars.
