On Owen's first birthday he was given a gift most infants can only dream of. Dana, my amazing, super-duper, one in a million best friend gave him a car. She literally researched the best gifts to give one-year-olds and after much searching found this gem. It is big, plastic and takes corners like a dream. It goes from 0-5 in no time. When we visit the playground, the other toddlers literally scream at each other and push kids out of the way to get a turn in this hot rod. Owen takes it all in stride. He knows he is superfly without even trying. The car does all the work for him. How is Owen as a driver? It varies.

He is sensitive to other drivers needs, but is prone to muttering curses under his breath when he is cut off by tricycles.

He drag races shopping carts whenever the opportunity presents itself.

He is subject to road rage, but what do you want? The traffic in this elevator is outrageous! It is the Cross Bronx Expressway of our building.
The car does bring out his inner nut. It also brings out his confidence. In his stroller, Owen is a little shy with strangers. In this bad boy, he waves at everyone we pass and gives big, hammy grins. This car deserves a name. Suggestions are welcome in the comment section!
Enjoy this video of our main man driving his car. Warning: The ending is really scary and features a creepy man looming in the hallway, waiting to smother Owen with kisses.

Such a cool dude!
soundtrack is perfect!
I love him bopping along, shaking & nodding his head! These things are ubiquitous in our neighborhood - they're like the camry of the toddler set!
Raphael!
Owen's swirl on the back of his head, his delicious thighs, head flopping and baby shoes are too much for one video! Sweet overload. BTW how did you film, push and avoid traffic? Amazing mom r u.
