Zoo Madness

One of the wisest investments we ever made was our annual zoo membership. We have gone to the zoo at least 6 times since getting the pass back in November. Allow me to share some of our more recent trips with friends and family...or, more appropriately, the friends that are our family and the family that are our friends. We are very lucky that way.

Over passover weekend we went zooing ( like clubbing but for parents) with Nanny, Poppy, Jenn, Ben and Julia. Here we see Ben and Jules pondering the beauty and elegance of nature.

Our first trip to the Central Park Zoo was a mommies and babies only affair. Lisa and Lil braved the frigid weather with us to visit some sea lions and red pandas. Lisa accidentally left with this bear cub. We aren't sure where Lil is, but rumor has it there is a super cute bald grizzly bear that has been begging for Cheerios in the Children's Zoo.



One very lovely spring day we went to the Bronx zoo with Nicki, Jason, Joanna, Nancy and this delicious bee named Ethan. I know he is delicious because I eat him up every time I see him.



Owen learns a lot from his older, wiser friends. Here, he learned from Jordan the way to eat zoo fries. Keep the grease off your fingers by having mom or dad feed you.

Here we are with the beautiful Madeline. She went on her first carousel ride during this zoo visit. Jordan, Madeline and their mommy and daddy Sarah and Eric were fantabulous zoo partners. Sarah was the person who recommended a zoo pass in the first place-- so she knows what she is doing.

We went to the Madagascar exhibit with Tante. It was an icy day in March and there were a total of about 30 people in the whole park. Thank goodness because.....
