Bear's Second Christmas

Christmas 2009 was a day steeped with traditional family values and lots of warm fuzzy moments. It is also a day which, like every other day in our extremely structured lives, has rules. Rules that needed to be followed.

Rule #11: First one to pass out gets his or her brazier put in the freezer

Rule #25: You are never too old or too young to enjoy Super Mario Kart.

Rule #7: If your parents are trying to pose for a picture with you, you must flee immediately or risk future Sears portraits.

Rule #344: Nobody can look in the same direction when a picture is being taken.

Rule #5: If your family bores you, let them know.

Rule #44 The youngest virgin at the table must play the role of Mary during dinnertime's "Living Nativity Scene" performance.

Rule #62: Everyone must bring a bag of I.....

.....ce! It is currently Owens favorite word and favorite frozen delicacy.

Rule #90: Everyone wears a crown during dinner.

Rule #91: The crown must be worn with a sense of regal entitlement.

Rule #16: Bring joy to those around you by making monster faces.

Rule #1003: Eat with abandon. The holiday gorging comes but once a year.

Rule #40: Don't peek when Santa flies by, but enjoy the breeze of his sleigh as it whirls past.

Rule #3:Enjoy your kids as much as possible. Every second counts.

Rule #1 Be Merry! You are with some of your favorite people in the world!

Rules # 31, 72 and 94: If you criticize the food, you must try to eat your own eyes; The youngest child must yell "ice" seventy-two times in a row; Whenever the opportunity presents itself to dance like a fool behind grandma without her knowing, it must be seized.

You need to call up Gagas camp right now and tell them you have a new video. I was CRYING from laughter.

Molly it is really a testament to your awesome dancing that it was the best part of this post, even trumping the extreme cuteness of Owen and the virgin Mary costume.

My favorite part of the dance sequence is when you see my mom mouth "what?" and then pretend to cry when Kate won't tell her why she is laughing to hard.

Out of the mouths of babes - watching Owen shout "Ice!" (var: "Eiitthhh!") to universal acclaim was a Eureka moment. THAT must be the Secret to Success! Can't wait to get back to work to start repetitively and loudly shouting "Ice!" at unpredictable times. Maybe I will have a job change! Hard to believe, but before this I was just so clueless.

I gets regal mien, not entitlement

Would you have really really put my brazier in the freezer?

those are some pretty serious dance moves. be sure to teach them to Owen so he can pass them on to Elodie.
